One woman was killed by a grenade in Ocaña, in the north east of
Colombia Friday. Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to
The town was hit by two explosives, which were detonated at 1:45 p.m. in the
department North of Santander and caused not only costly material damage.
The first explosive was thrown onto the third floor of a building in
the San Augustin district, in the center of Ocaña, damaging windows,
doors, and various belongings. No one was injured.
At the same time, an grenade was presumably thrown into the home of Yamile
Sanchez, a hairdresser, while she was sleeping. Sanchez, age 35, died
shortly after being taken to the hospital.
