Only three weeks after his first PGA Tour win, Villegas again showed great form at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta.
The Colombian was particularly successful in the second and fourth rounds, finishing both four under par at 66 strokes.
At the end of the fourth round on Sunday, Villegas had used a total of 273 strokes. Spaniard Sergio Garcia finished at the same amount and a play-off between the two players was needed.
The 233-yard 18th hole was used for the play-off, and while Sergio Garcia lacked focus at this point, Villegas remained calm and secured the victory.
The Medellín born golfer should jump into sixth place in the PGA ranking on Monday.
