Viagra and passion fruit: a new aphrodisiac

Food Technology students in Colombia announced Tuesday their discovery of a delicious new dessert recipe based on a combination between passion fruit and Viagra.

On November 12, the first day of the Gastronomy Fair 2009 held in Bogota, hundreds of curious foodies are expected to flock to the stall where the accalimbed new Passion Pudding will be exhibited, and tasted.

The idea for the dessert arose when four Colombian food tech students, aged between 18 and 22, came up with a truly innovative new recipe for a class project they had been assigned.

According to news site Terra, the students began pondering the universal pleasure of sex combined with the world’s greatest food myth: the aphrodisiac. They then infused these two subject in the hope of discovering a new and exciting combination between the infamous pleasure pill, Viagra and one of Colombia’s much loved delicacies, the passion fruit.

According to the students, all four of whom are male and have sampled their creation, one portion of the dessert has exactly the same effect as one little Viagra pill, just with less intensity.

Allegedly the pudding provokes a similar feeling for all age group and for women in particular, who tended to take smaller mouthfuls, savouring the dessert for longer, “after a few minutes they began to feel the tickles and started to smile.”

The Gastronomy Fair 2009 will take place between November 12 and 16.
