by Kirsten Begg November 2, 2009

A sergeant major of the Venezuelan civil guard was deported from Colombia for “security reasons” after he allegedly “handed over information sensitive to Colombian security”.

Wilmer Jose Gamardo Barreto was handed over Sunday to Venezuelan authorities by Colombia’s intelligence agency DAS, according to a DAS press release.

DAS authorities said that the information “sensitive to Colombian security” is “being evaluated”.
