Venezuelan-Colombian folkloric dance festival in Meta

Villavicencio, Meta department, will host for the 49th time the
International Joropo Tournament from 23 June until 1 July. Come and
enjoy Venezuelan-Colombian folkloric music and dances in Central
Colombia – the Joropo.

The tournament is divided in several categories – children, youth and professional. Around 1600 performers composers and dancers will show how the traditional folk movement is felt and perceived in the Colombian plains.

But the festival has also something to offer for those who are not that into dancing – local cuisine, singing, instrumental concerts, special performances, bull riding and bull fighting.
