Venezuela to extradite ex-paramilitary hit man

Venezuelan authorities announced Tuesday that they will extradite paramilitary hit man “El Mono Candelo” to Colombia to face charges.

Newspaper El Tiempo reports that El Mono Candelo was caught by Venezuelan investigators in Maracaibo, a city west of Caracas.

The alleged former AUC member and current “Aguilas Negras” operative is wanted in Colombia on four counts of homicide. He is currently third on the top 25 most wanted list in Colombia, according to reports.

Sierra is also alleged to have been a hit man for notorious drug lord “Don Mario” who was captured in April of 2009.
