Venezuelan authorities say they arrested a commander of Colombia’s
largest insurgency group FARC. Yainer Esneider Acosta Peña, alleged
commander of the guerrilla’s 45th front, was arrested in the western
Zulia state.

The suspect was arrested Thursday in the Villa del Rosario region of Zulia, close to the Colombian border.

According to the secretary, the suspect was dressed as a private guard and worked in a pharmacy at the time of his arrest. He was carrying false identity papers.
