Minister slams previous govt’s ‘avalanche’ of spending

Minister of the Interior Vargas Lleras said that his predecessor, Fabio Valencia Cossio, signed an “avalanche” new contracts before the end of the Uribe administration, reports El Espectador.

The current minister did not go into detail about the nature of the contracts signed.

The Uribe administration allegedly signed contracts worth COP3 billion during its last week in power, and the ministry of the interior was the biggest spender of the various government departments.
