Uribe wants police to track down militant students

by Adriaan Alsema May 30, 2008

21 students and one adult were arrested after the violent clashes in the Colombian capital. The police claims the students were throwing acid to the security forces. Some allegedly carried explosives.Uribe wants the police to put an end to the student violence by tracking down those responsible for violence. “The police should enter any campus where there is violence,” the President said. “It hurts that in a country that already suffers so much, those who can study get involved in vandalism.”
