Uribe meets Chinese vice President

Colombian President Álvaro Uribe met with Chinese vice-President Xi Jinping Sunday in the Caribbean city of Cartagena.

The visit follows of a number of earlier encounters between Colombia and China to improve bilateral ties and stimulate trade.

Xi is visiting a number of countries in the Americas. Before Colombia he went to Mexico and Jamaica and early this week he will go to Venezuela and Brazil.
