The Senator wants Uribe investigated, because he was the main beneficiary of the bribe and ultimately responsible. The Court already started an investigation against Medina. Avellaneda said at least two ministers from the Uribe administration are guilty of the bribe. The bribery became public when former Senator Medina complained in a television interview that the bribe she was offered never was closed. She had been promised favours by the government if she would support a constitutional change in 2004, allowing Uribe to be reelected faster than normal.Uribe has denied all allegations.
