Uribe denies family links to DMG

Colombian President Álvaro Uribe denies any links between suspected
pyramid scheme and money launderer DMG and his family and says he will
let the Attorney General investigate his and his family’s tax returns
to prove it.

Opposition senator Cecilia Lopez of the Liberal Party had demanded Uribe to give clarity about the possible links after several media had reported about links between one of the President sons and the investigated investment company.

“My children are not corrupt, they are no drug traffickers, they are not glued to dad, they’re no daddy’s boys, they are not lazy and they are not vague about their income,” Uribe said in a speech broadcast live on Colombian national television.
