Two Colombian films to be shown at Berlin Film Festival

Two Colombian films will be shown at the prestigous Berlin International Film Festival to be held in the German capital in February.

Retratos en un Mar de Mentiras (portraits in a sea of lies) by Colombian director Carlos Gaviria will be shown as part of the “Generation” section of the festival, which focuses on films for children. The new film by American filmmaker Spike Jonze will be featured in the same section.

The second film to be shown at the festival’s 60th edition is El Vuelco del Cangrejo (the overturning of the crab), a film by Oscar Ruiz Navia.

Both films feature the Afrocolombian, Pacific cultures of the South American country.
