Twenty dead beacuse of rains

The number of people killed because of the heavy rains and following
floods that hit Colombia the past week has been raised to twenty. 44
thousand people have been affected by the weather.

The lifeless bodies of ten persons were recovered after landslides in the departments of Tolima, Nariño and Huila, recue teams of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reported.

According to the ICRC, there is an emergency situation in 60 municipalities in different parts of the country and  approximately 7,000 houses have beeb detroyed.

The ICRC warns that coming rains, floods and landslides can cause more damage and victism and urge local leaders to take precautionary measures.
