Deportes Tolima are the new leaders in the Colombian Liga Postobon II, at least for a day, following Saturday’s 1-2 win at Deportivo Pereira.
Tolima did not have a particularly good start to their away game at Pereira as the home team scored an opening goal through Danny Cano in the 31st minute.
But Wilder Medina equalised eight minutes later and went on to score what turned out to be the winner in the 68th, 1-2.
Atletico Nacional meanwhile, beat Real Cartagena 1-2 at the coast in order to jump to second place.
Oscar Castillo put Cartagena i the lead after 11 minutes but Nacional, despite being a man down following Dorlan Pabon’s sending off in the 35th minute, turned things around just before and after the break.
Humberto Mendoza converted a penalty kick in the 43rd minute and then completed the turn-around for 1-2 three minutes into the second half.
Deportes Quindio dropped two points in a 1-1 draw at America de Cali, despite taking the lead through Carlos Rodas in the 12th minute.
In the very next minute, Gabriel Fernandez scored back to restore the balance and earn the home side a point.
In the final match of the day, Millonarios beat Envigado 1-2 with goals from Alejandro Cichero and Rafael Robayo after Jorge Serna had put the hosts ahead in the first half.
