Avianca introduces new logo

Colombia-based airline Avianca Tuesday announced a series of changes, including encompassing the operations of existing airlines, and a new logo and slogan designed to demonstrate the international development of the company.

As part of the new developments, Avianca, Tampa Cargo, AeroGal and all the airlines of the TACA group will now function under the new Avianca brand, whose image will be present in over 160 airplanes and boarding areas in over 25 countries.

In an extensive press release, Avianca President Fabio Villegas explained the changes; saying Avianca is “now mature enough to take this step,” in a radio interview with national station Caracol on Tuesday.

According to Villegas the changes will not be in image alone, signaling “a series of improvements in relations between the company and its clientele,” suggesting that passengers will start to notice changes such as improvements in acquiring Avianca’s services online as well as a better inflight experience.

“With these new alliances, we can guarantee passage to almost any part of the world to our customers, we are one of the biggest airlines worldwide, making us competitive and forcing us to improve” concluded the company’s president.
