Ten FARC guerrillas arrested

Ten guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) have been captured by the Colombian authorities in an operation near the Venezuelan border, the army said on Tuesday.

The rebels were captured in the towns of Teorama, El Tarra and Convencion in the north eastern Norte de Santander department.

The captured rebels belonged to the financial and military network of the FARC, the government said in a statement.
