Spanish cop overhears confession of Colombian’s murder

A 19-year-old was arrested in Spain after being overheard on a bus journey by a plainclothes policeman describing how he killed a Colombian man, Caracol Radio reported Tuesday.

The policeman overheard the young man describing on his cell phone how he had stabbed a man in the southern Spanish city of Malaga on Saturday. The victim was a Colombian who had received Spanish citizenship.

The adolescent on the bus apparently stabbed him in the stomach during a fight, causing injury to his liver and pancreas. The Colombian native was taken to the University of Malaga Hospital and surgery was performed, but to no avail.

Upon overhearing the conversation, the policeman texted Madrid police details of the murderer’s appearance and dress, ensuring his immediate arrest upon arrival in Madrid on Monday.
