Spain, Colombia make Chile miners film

Spain and Colombia are making a film, “The 33 of San Jose,” based on the story of the miners who were trapped in Chile’s San Jose for 69 days.

The Spanish Antena 3 Films and the Colombian Dynamo Factory are currently shooting the film in Chile, coinciding with the rescue operation of the 33 men who were trapped 2,300 feet below the surface.

“The script was being written at the same time the miners began their involuntary confinement and the final version was approved last week,” a Television Antena 3 spokesman told El Diario.

The rescue ended on Thursday night and has received enormous media coverage.
