Colombian actress Sofia Vergara talks about her voluptuous figure and Latin women’s sexuality to Shape magazine.
Vergara, actress for the popular American show “Modern Family” admitted to the magazine that although she is proud of her voluptuous body, this has not always been the case.
“I was ridiculously skinny. They used to call me ‘palillo,’ which means toothpick in Spanish.”
Then when she hit puberty, she says, “I suddenly had these big boobs. I used to tell my mother that, ‘I’m going to cut these off as soon as I turn 18.'”
Vergara came to love her body, and said that this confidence is a trait not uncommon in Latin women.
“Latin women are very comfortable with their bodies and their sexuality. We aren’t afraid to show that off a little bit more.”
On being referred to as the sexiest woman in Hollywood, Vergara, who has a 19-year-old son, says it feels “fantastic.”
She is currently dating Florida politician Nick Loeb.
