Colombian actress Sofia Vergara has discussed participating in a new film version of the comedy “The Three Stooges,” reported EFE.
The Baranquilla native, who starred in the TV series “Modern Family,” would play an unscrupulous woman who tries to deceive the comic trio if she accepts the role.
The three-part movie will be directed by the Farrelly brothers, of “There’s Something About Mary fame.” If Vergara signs on, she will be cast in the second part.
Sean Hayes and Will Sasso have already signed on to play Larry and Curly, while the actor to play Moe is yet to be confirmed.
It is hoped the movie will see the light in 2012.
Vergara recently starred in “Happy Feet 2” and “The Smurfs” as well as a Pepsi commercial with David Beckham.
