Sofia Vergara gets 3rd Emmy nomination

Colombian bombshell Sofia Vergara Thursday was nominated for an Emmy as Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series for the third consecutive year Thursday.

The third time might be a charm for scene-stealer Vergara, who received the nomination for her role as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in the U.S. comedy “Modern Family.”

Last year, the Barranquilla-born actress lost to her Modern Family co-star Julie Bowen who was also nominated this year for her role as Claire Dunphy.

Vergara’s nomination came one day after she was named the highest paid actress on television.
