Colombian TV soaps descend into soft-core porn

The actors and actresses who star in Colombia’s TV soaps always seem to be on the verge of becoming the next hot thing – but sometimes the heat gets a little too high.

For the ladies, there’s former-soap-star-turned-abstract-painter Pedro Pallares, whose rippled abs regularly appear on the Peruvian soap opera “Beautiful and Ambitious.” The sexy loves scenes in said soap are often described as soft-core porn by TV critics. The plot is essentially the same as the Hollywood teen classic “Cruel Intentions:” a ruthless couple plots to steal a naive girl’s fortune, but all three become ensnared in an unresolvable love triangle.

After watching the soap’s unabashed nudity and graphic, though simulated, sex scenes, viewers may daydream about becoming ensnared such triangles themselves.

Then there’s Bibiana Navas, memorably billed as “Hot Girl” in the 2009 Hollywood masterpiece of action-drama, “Crank: High Voltage.” Starring Jason Statham, who previously battled the Russian mafia in the “Transporter” series, the movie concerns an unkillable assassin who dukes it out with Chinese mobsters. Navas’ “Hot Girl” role in “Crank: High Voltage” is officially uncredited, following a similar unbilled cameo in “You Don’t Mess With The Zohan” (2008) as “The Phantom’s Wife.”

Colombian actor Rodrigo Obregon also bared flesh in 1992’s soft-core flick “Hard Hunted.” The plot concerns a smuggled nuclear bomb and “the global balance of power in jeopardy,” according to IMDB.

For those who like to get hot and bothered while watching their soaps, Colombian series “Asi Es La Vida” is also known for its graphic sex scenes.
