A massacre in a Central Colombian city has left at least four people dead and two seriously injured Thursday, local media reported.

The six victims were playing cards in a house located in the neighborhood “6 de Abril” in the southeastern part of Villavicencio, the capital of the Meta department, when a man opened fire at them.

“They were there, in a sort of garage, but it is also a room of the house,  playing cards and this man enters without asking anything. He just started shooting,” Villavicencio Government Secretary Fernando Sandoval, in charge of public security, was quoted as saying by news agency Colprensa.

One suspect was reportedly captured carrying a revolver and ammunition close to the crime scene.

According to the authorities, one of the victims was killed instantly by a gunshot in the head while the remaining three died while being treated.

The Villavicencio police department is investigating the multiple homicide to establish the motives behind it. Authorities assume the massacre is linked to frictions between local drug dealers.
