Six indigenous Colombians killed in car crash

Six indigenous people were killed and another fifteen were injured on Monday when the truck they were traveling in plunged off the side of the highway in southern Colombia.

The accident occurred in a rural area of La Cilia in the department of Cauca, reported Colombian television station Caracol.

Among the most seriously injured is an eight year-old boy, who was transferred to a hospital in Popayan, the capital of Cauca.

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
