Sixteen people were reported injured after five small bombs exploded
simultaneously on different places in Bogotá. Police have not mentioned
possible suspects. One exploded three hour later.
According to police chief Rodolfo Palomino the bombs are most likely to be set by one organization. “There’s a pattern. The bombs were all placed in dirt bins that are attached to poles. The explosives all were 250 – 500 grams,” he told the press.
The wounded weren’t seriously injured, the chief of police added.
Authorities warn civilians to keep a safe distance from garbage bins, because it is not clear if there still are bombs hidden that may not have exploded yet.
