Shakira’s ex-fiance Antonio de la Rua is allegedly expecting a baby with his girlfriend, just days after the Colombian singer made public her pregnancy with footballer Gerard Pique.
Shakira and the Argentine ex-president’s son announced the end of their 11-year relationship in January 2011 but had split a short time before then, both quickly moving on to newer, younger, better-looking models.
The famed Colombian Shakira at 35-years-old is allegedly expecting a son with her 25-year-old fiance Gerard Pique, while 38-year-old De la Rua has impregnated 24-year-old former Miss Colombia Daniela Ramos.
After having denied rumors for months, the Colombian singer admitted she was five months pregnant just over a week ago via a Facebook message, while one of Ramos’ family members announced that De la Rua has quickly followed suit and the former Miss Colombia is now four months pregnant.
The babies will be born one month apart amid a messy court case between the two former lovers, in which De le Rua is seeking an unconfirmed $250 million as compensation for abandoning his career as a publicist in order to advance Shakira’s music career.
It remains to be seen which of the two ex-sweethearts will get to the altar first. Media have reported that De la Rua wants to wed before his baby is born, although it seems unlikely that Shakira will need to invest in a maternity dress for that occasion.
