Shakira’s ex demands $100M of Colombian pop star

The ex-boyfriend of Shakira is demanding $100 million of Colombia’s most famous pop star, his lawyer told Argentina media Thursday.

According to the attorney of Antonio de la Rua, his ex-girlfriend owes him the money because of a 2011 business arrangement between the two.

“Shakira has tried to rewrite history, which includes denying the existence of this society, despising the contributions of De la Rua. [Shakira is] distorting the facts of the past,” the lawyer was quoted as saying in several media.

De la Rua was also Shakira’s manager until they split up in 2011. Shakira has since teamed up with Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique with whom she is expecting a baby.
