Colombian pop sensation Shakira announced her 2010 global tour via her website, to kick off this summer in the U.S.

The sultry hip shaker confirmed the dates for her first three gigs:

September 21 – Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York

October 8 – Toyota Center, Houston, Texas

October 23 – Staples Center, Los Angeles, California

Shakira fan club members will have access to presale tickets from May 3. Public tickets will be available at LiveNation.com from May 7, with a limited number of $9.50 tickets available.

Additional dates and venues are expected to be announced soon.

The Barranquilla babe last toured in 2006-2007 with her “Oral Fixation Tour.”

Shakira hit the headlines last week after she spoke out against a controversial new law introduced in the U.S. state of Arizona that requires immigrants to carry documents verifying their status, saying that the bill “attacks the human and civil rights of Latinos.”
