Colombia news - Shakira

Shakira is set to star as the title role in the 3D Bollywood film “Kaali: The Warrior Goddess.”

Producer Karan Arora said “It will be a full-length, two-hour Hindi film to be shot in London, and then in a city in Eastern Europe. Shakira is on board. She has agreed in principle. She has said yes when my co-producer met her. But she is yet to sign on the dotted line. The money is being worked out quickly.”

Arora said that he was looking for an international star for his film.

Shakira acted in the Colombian telenovela “Oasis” before her singing career took off internationally. She has also made a handful cameo appearances on U.S. television shows, such as “Ugly Betty” and “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
