Shakira sizzles in World Cup outfit

by Pandora Pugsley July 7, 2010

shakira, colombia, world cup

Shakira is set to send pulses racing across the globe when she performs at the 2010 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony on Sunday in a fetching animal-print creation by Eurotrash supremo Roberto Cavalli.

The outfit features a midriff-baring tulle top embroidered with multi-coloured sea pearls and a silk fringed skirt, complete with floral motif and animal print. According to sources, the songstress will complete the look by rocking leather cuff bracelets with floral silk applique and puffs of bright feathers.

The She Wolf singer opened the tournament last month, when she performed the same song at the opening ceremony in Soweto, alongside local South African group Freshlyground.

Organizing committee spokesman Jermaine Craig said Sunday’s show will be “more youthful and technologically advanced [with] nice lighting effects and special effects planned.”

Somebody should have told Jermaine that one hip-shaking Colombian bombshell in this sexy get-up is all the pyrotechnics needed.
