Colombian pop princess Shakira will be singing and shaking it at a private island party in western India on Tuesday night.
The Barranquilla-born babe landed Monday at a local airport outside of the town of Udaipur, in the state of Rajasthan for the private celebration of the 80th birthday of an Indian tycoon.
Hundreds of fans gathered to try and catch a glimpse of the blond bombshell, but because of the overwhelming masses of fans she was quickly shuttled away from the public eye.
“I came as soon as I heard Shakira was coming. I drove 10 kilometers [6.2 miles] just to see her, but I was very upset at the way they took her away,” an admirer told told local news agency IANS outside the airport.
Shakira will be performing on the private island of tycoon K.P. Singh, arriving on a special pimped-out boat decorated for the occasion, and accompanied by some of the most important Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan.
This is Shakira’s second visit to India, after performing in Bombay in 2007.
