Colombian pop star Shakira on Tuesday said goodbye to The Voice’s after serving as judge in the TV series’ fourth season.

Shakira said goodbye to her first experience as a mentor in the famous music show through an original Facebook message. The post, which paid a tribute to The Voice was written as by her baby Milan’s voice.

“Mommy thanks for bringing me to The Voice, so fun!! Though your fellow coaches are a doubtful influence on me, I’m ready for season 6!!,” Shakira wrote.

In the facebook post, Shakira posted pictures of mommy and son on set.

Baby Milan’s first-ever-facebook-post referred to Shakira’s co-workers and on-set rivals, Usher, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

Although none of Shakira’s contestants reached the final round, it is claimed that The Voice has boosted the Colombian’s popularity in the United States.

“The program has been a very important platform for Shakira,” music editor and reporter Shirley Halperin was quoted as saying by Colombian newspaper El Espectador.

Halperin further stated that although Shakira has been known in the United States through many years, the media presence was limited to the field of music and that she only appeared in the media when publishing a new album.

According to the journalist, the American public now know much more about the Colombian’s personality.
