Shakira releases preview of new single

Colombian bombshell Shakira released a sneak preview of her new single “Addicted to You.”

The new single is part of the “Sale el Sol” album, released in 2010 with a vibrant range of new songs directed at a fan base who wishe to “have fun, lose their inhibitions and get their legs moving,” said the Barranquilla native.

Shakira has visited 42 countries and performed 112 concerts since the album was released.

The pop star has been in the press recently for botching her country’s national anthem at the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena this month. The blunder sent shock waves throughout social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, with many Colombians criticizing the artist for not spending enough time in her homeland.

But while her diary may preclude her from spending much time in her native land, her money has often been spent on helping Colombian people. Last month the vivacious star supported a $27 million initiative designed to aid 5,900 young children through the construction of 13 care centers across the country which aims to provide assistance to impoverished children up to five years of age.

The pop star’s sexy hips and “fierce independence” also recently landed her the title of the LA Weekly’s sexiest female singer of all time.
