Shakira gets her way on LatAm summit

Latin American leaders are keeping their promise to Colombian singer
Shakira and will include early childhood development on the next Latin
American summit’s agenda.

Tony Saca, President of El Salvador where the meeting will be held in November, said on national radio the topic will be on the presidents’ list of topics to discuss.

Shakira had urged some of the presidents to talk about early childhood development. “We want to propose that the topic of early childhood development is
included during the Ibero-American summit in November,” Shakira told the
Presidents in New York less than a week ago.
