Shakira feared being too sexy for family

by Katharina Wecker August 10, 2009

Colombia news - Shakira video

Colombian superstar Shakira confessed Monday she had been worried the video clip
of her new song, She Wolf, was too sexy and provocative for her family.

In her new video of “La Loba” Shakira shows her animal side dancing, what seems to be, naked in a gold cage.

However, Shakira claimed she “was terrified” of the reactions of her family when she showed her latest work.

“My parents wrote me to tell me that they have seen it and they loved it although it is a little bit provocative. However, my mom was worried what the neighbors would say. Your parents are like your voice of conscience,” Shakira told the English tabloid The Sun.

The singer also confessed she felt embarrassed when she showed the video to the parents of her fiancé, the former president of Argentina, Fernando de la Rua, and his wife. “The former First Lady of Argentina said it was sexy but classy,” Shakira said.
