Colombian singer Shakira and Antonio de la Rua have admitted to breaking up.
According to a press release on Shakira’s website, the two broke up in August last year, but are continuing their businessrelationship.
“Since August 2010, we made a mutual decision to take time apart from our romantic relationship. Throughout this time we have continued to work together hand in hand, have remained close and have kept the details absolutely private until now,” Shakira and De la Rua say on the singer’s website.
The press release came shortly after Spanish newspaper El Pais quoted anonymous sources close to Shakira that said the couple had broken up.
