Shakira set to release eighth studio album after two years out

Colombia popstar Shakira is returning to singing after a brief maternity leave, and her new sound will be “electric,” reported the website Ritmoson Latino.

Shakira is preparing for what will be her eighth  studio album, which will be the first of hers to feature electronic music.

The album will be full of danceable tracks said Colombia’s pop sensation to Ritmoson Latino.

Many artists have collaborated on this album in varying capacities including RedFoo of LMFAO, Ester Dean, Skrillex, Akon, Benny Blanco, Sia, Max Martin, Dr. Luke, The Runners, Carlinhos Brown, Ivete Sangalo, and Tiësto.

The album is expected to be released at the end of 2013 or the beginning of 2014.
