Seven people were assassinated in three seperate shootings in the northern department of Santander Tuesday afternoon.
Five men riding in a car through a rural area of the department were killed by a motorcyclist who fired repeatedly at the vehicle until all of the passengers were dead.
In a separate incident, a businesswoman was murdered in a salon in an upscale neighborhood of the city of Cucuta. The assassin walked into the building, shot the victim and left.
A group of armed men also killed a security guard in the same city.
Authorities are looking for suspects linked to the afternoon shootings.
More than 26 killings have been reported in the northern Santander region this week alone, reports Caracol Radio.
