The volcano started being increasingly active earlier this month. So far 200 people were forced to evacuate, because of the threat of an eruption.The Nevado del Huila is located on the highest point (5,364 feet) of the Cordillera Central, between the departments of Cauca, Huila, Tolima. The area around the volcano is inhabited mostly by indigenous communities.
