Santos urges US, Europe to ‘get their act together’

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos tells the U.S. and Europe to “get their act together” as economic turmoil by the world’s major players is affecting Latin America.

In an interview with CNN, Santos said: “We are saying what they said to us ten years ago: put your house in order because your disorder is affecting us.”

According to the Colombian President, the U.S. and the E.U. should “take the decisions that are necessary, have the political will and the political capacity to take unpopular, … but necessary decisions, because you’re going to affect the whole world when you continue with this uncertainty.”
