Santos to meet with US businessmen in Miami

Colombia’s President-Elect Juan Manuel Santos will travel to Miami Thursday to attend a lunch meeting held by the U .S. Chamber of Commerce in his honor.

At the meeting, Santos is expected to give a speech regarding trade and international relations to an audience comprised primarily of Miami-based Colombians and businessmen of other nationalities, who do business with Colombia.

The 500-capacity $100-per-head lunch, to be held Miami’s Hotel Biltmore, is completely sold out.

Santos was in Europe last week, where he met with German, Spanish and French leaders.

The president-elect will begin a Latin American tour next week, which will take him to Mexico, Panama, Chile, Argentina and Peru.
