Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos said Monday his government is waiting on signs of the FARC to move forward with operations that should lead to the unilateral release of five FARC captives.
“We have said it in every way. As soon as the coordinates are here, we will provide everything necessary so that these persons who are now held hostage go free,” Santos was quoted as saying by Caracol Radio.
Santos added that the process leading up to the release is in hands of former Senator Piedad Cordoba and government delegate Eduardo Pizarro.
