According to the latest surveys, Colombia’s president Juan Manuel Santos has an approval rating of 62%, but many feel that he has mishandled matters of security and the war with the country’s guerrilla groups.
Another question asked by the polling agency was “Do you have a positive or negative image of President Juan Manuel Santos?”
To this, 67% responded “positive,” 31% “negative,” while 2% did not know or did not respond.
Furthermore, 56% of the respondents said Colombia was “going on the right track,” while 40% said the country was “going on the wrong track.”
However, a majority of the respondents said the government had mishandled themes like security and the problem of guerrilla insurgency. In regard to this, only 21% said the things were going “well,” 33% “regular,” 45% “bad,” while 1% did not respond.
