Santos confident of Colombia victory against Chile

Colombia’s President Juan Manuel Santos is confident that “Los Cafeteros” can gain their second World Cup qualifying victory when they meet Chile on Tuesday.

A convincing 4-0 victory against Uruguay last Friday in Barranquilla got Colombia back on track for their quest in the Brazil 2014 qualification, and Santos believes that they can repeat the feat in Santiago when they play Chile.

“If we play like we did in Barranquilla, I’m sure we can win. The important thing is to play like we played then and that will be the challenge,” said Santos during his radio program “On Line with the President.”

“I’m optimistic. We have a good team, which I think is better than before. We are happy with it, with our coach (Jose Pekerman) and we also have some very good players,” added the president.
