Colombia President Juan Manuel Santos resumed work from the hospital where he was operated Wednesday to remove a tumor from his prostate.
According to a press release on the president’s website, Santos went back to work hours after the operation.
Newspaper El Tiempo reported that the president requested to have his computer, iPad and cell phones at his bedside to be able to continue work.
The president’s website said that Santos had already met with some of his ministers and the peace commissioner — in charge of peace negotiations with rebel group FARC — to discuss government-related matters.
Doctors at the hospital said earlier this week they hope to discharge the president within days.
