Colombia President Juan Manuel Santos’ approval rating has risen 8 points in the past two months, reaching 33 percent against 25 percent in August, according to a Gallup poll.

Santos’ disapproval fell from 71 to 63 percent.

The poll took place between October 18th and 27th with a sample size of 1,200 from five major cities in the country.

Negative images of the president fell over the past two months according the poll, with 63 percent of those polled holding a negative perception of the president compared to 72 percent in August.

In August, the president’s low approval rating was affected by public perception of a poorly managed response to the countrywide agrarian strike.
