Santa Fé and América win local classics

Santa Fé and Millonarios headed for a draw at El Campín, where both sides had a player expulsed in the first half.

Santa Fé’s Alejandro Bernal hit Rafael Robayo in the back and was sent off for his action in the 21st minute, but Robayo himself conceded a red card as well following the aftermath.

In fact, the referee also decided to expulse Luis Mosquera of Santa Fé, who had come off the bench to protest the decision.

The decision did come in the 91st minute. In the very last attack of the match, Oscar Córdoba failed to control a shot from Seijas and Cesar Valoyes scored in the rebound.

América humiliated Deportivo 4-1 in the Valle classic, González put the home side in the lead from the penalty spot after 22 minutes.

Parra doubled the advantage thirteen minutes later and Ramos made it 3-0 right before the break.

Montero got one back for Deportivo in the second minute after half time, but América held on to their lead and added one through Cortés with twenty minutes to go.
