San Andres plane crash victim dies

The August 16 plane crash on the Caribbean island of San Andres left a second fatality when an 11-year old girl died of her injuries on Wednesday, two weeks after the accident.

The Simon Bolivar hospital in Bogota confirmed the girl’s death late in the afternoon.

The Bogotan girl spent the past two weeks in intensive care in the hospital where doctors kept her in an induced coma to improve her critical condition.

The crash cost the life of two passengers. The other 129 people on board survived.
