Colombian prosecutors hand back remains of 15 war victims

Colombian Justice and Peace prosecutors give to families the remains of 15 victims of paramilitary and guerrilla groups in Villavicencio, capital of the department of Meta in the Eastern Plains, Colombian media reported Friday.

The victims were killed in the departments of Cundinamarca, Meta and Casanare, according to information from the Exhumation Group of the National Unit of Prosecutors for Justice and Peace.

They were victims of murder and forced disappearance committed by the paramilitary groups Centauros Block, Autodefensas Campesinas del Casanare, Autodefensas Campesinas Independientes as well as the FARC’s 26 and 17 Front.

The crimes were committed between 1983 and 2003.
